Another Lovely List

1. I’m a big fan of Casey’s blog Sugar Lander.  I love that she gives her son q-tips to spread his glue and I love how modern their projects turn out.  Her thankful garland is so very lovely and I can’t wait to make one with the kids on Thanksgiving.

2.  My holiday pin board is growing at an alarming rate.  Right now I’m scheming on how to make this photo work with two little people and a whole bunch of vintage lights.

3.  I am over-the-moon excited to have a cotton candy pink Christmas tree from Treetopia to decorate this year.  I cannot wait!  And right now Treetopia is hosting a sweepstakes to win two of their lovely trees…one for you and one for a friend!  I hope you win.

4.  Last week I found myself day dreaming about wreaths.  The sort that look like this and this.  Dreamy.

Another Lovely List

1.  I’m in a bit funk this week.  Since it’s impossible to be grumpy while the smell of sugar is wafting through your house, l plan on making some sweets.  These salted caramel crispy rice squares from Cindy at Hungry Girl Por Vida are at the tippy top of my ‘to make’ list.

2.  My crafty book wish list is growing by the day.  I just added these two from Meet Me at Mike’s, to the many others I hope to some day make my own.  Oh, and this one, too.  It looks so good.

3.  My friend Chrissie from In His Grace is closing up her successful handmade shop, so she can make room for the new adventure God has her on.  I’m so excited to for her!  I know what a huge decision this is, so to see her following His plan in-spite of her fears and questions, is so inspiring to me.  Chrissie’s offering 20% off of everything, including custom orders, with the code: CULATER.

4. This summer I bought some Martha Stewart fabric medium, and this week I’m hoping to finally give it a try.  I have a thrifted canvas bag that’s crying out for some triangles to be added to it.

5.  I am thoroughly enjoying Lisa Congdon’s 365 Days of Hand Lettering series on her blog, but this one in particular is my favorite so far.

Another Lovely List

1.  The school pick up line has been more tolerable thanks to the Paper Town app.  Piper has been having so much fun dressing up the little paper figures in their cute paper clothes.  Best two bucks I’ve spent in a loooong time.

2.  This past weekend I bought some foam sheets and little wooden blocks, and now I’m setting out to create my own stamps using this easy peasy tutorial from Lines Across.

3.  I love this take on creating goals for yourself.  I hadn’t realized this before, but I think I have a tendency to list the end result, instead of positive actions, as Elsie describes.  I like her method much better.

4.  Sunday I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the year.  Makes me so happy.  It also means it’s time for me to watch You’ve Got Mail.  It’s a must.  Also a must for me is trying out this recipe for pumpkin spice cream cheese from A Beautiful Mess.  Pumpkin spice + cheese?  Yes please!

5.  There are no words for my excitement over this.  It’s back ya’ll!  It’s finally back.

Long ago, I would share lists of things that were inspiring me, and up until the other day I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed it.  Now that my memory’s been refreshed, I think it might just become a regular occurrence around here again.

1.  I cannot wait for the weather to break.  The moment the temperature dips below 80 degrees I’m baking this cherry lattice pie from Hungry Girl Por Vida.

2.  I added this new wallpaper to my phone thanks to the free downloads from Eat Drink Chic.  Ahh, it’s just so pretty.  Also, I am in love with gold glitter.  Did you know that?

3.  This is probably the best post I’ve ever read on the topic of blogging and followers.

4.  I am crazy in love with this fold over clutch from Little Green Thread.  I mean, seriously.  She had me at ikat.

5.  And thanks to this tutorial from The Marion House I am now planning out how I can paint every single basket I own.
