This. That. And The Map

There are a handful of things that I’m always on the lookout for,
and a vintage map is one of them.
Last week I was able to check it off the list for a mere $36.

When I found the map it was rolled up and sitting in the corner
of a discounted booth in an antique market.
It’s a 7’x13’ three panel world map for Korean Airlines.
Since it wasn’t quite big enough to apply as wallpaper (hah!)
we trimmed the torn edges and added molding to create a finished look.

I love that the flight routes are listed.

We put it on the windowless wall in our family room.
The wall was already painted that lovely shade of blue, but now I’m
wondering if I should paint it white so the map stands out more?
Hmmm?

Either way, 
it is so much better then a window.
